Controlled Shed Advisory

Commissioning and environment set-up, from the practice that brought the controlled shed to Pakistan in 1999. Get the box right, then run it right.

The problem

A controlled shed with the wrong set-points is just an expensive box.

Ventilation sized wrong, sensors mis-placed, temperature curves copied from another climate, the equipment runs, but the birds pay for it in uniformity and feed conversion. The environment has to be commissioned to the flock and the local weather, not to the brochure.

What we do

Commission the environment, then hand it over.

01

Design review

Ventilation capacity, inlet sizing and sensor placement checked against your climate and stocking density.

02

Set-point programming

Temperature, humidity and ventilation curves set to bird age, the baseline, tuned to your shed.

03

Commissioning run

A live check with birds in, air speed at bird level, static pressure, minimum ventilation verified.

04

Train & hand over

Your team learns to read the shed, so the environment stays right after we leave.

Reference

Environment set-points by age

Baseline broiler targets. Adjust to breed, season and your birds' behaviour, spread tells you more than the sensor.

Client reference

The full environment set-point sheet is prepared for clients of the practice.

It is built and tuned to your farm, flock and local challenge, not a generic handout. Engage the practice and we develop it with you, then keep it current every cycle.

FAQ

Common questions

Do you sell or install the equipment?

No, the advisory is independent of any supplier. We commission and tune what you have, or specify what you need, without a stake in the brand.

Can you help an existing shed that under-performs?

Yes. Most call-outs are re-commissioning a shed that was built to spec but never tuned. A set-point and ventilation review is often the fastest gain available.

What is an environmentally controlled broiler shed?

An insulated, closed house, usually tunnel-ventilated with cooling pads at one end and fans at the other, where temperature, airflow, humidity and light are held stable by equipment so the flock is not at the mercy of the outside weather.

What temperature and set-points should a broiler shed run at?

Baseline targets move with bird age, from a warm floor for day-old chicks down as they feather, but the right numbers depend on your breed, season and climate. Bird distribution across the floor tells you more than the sensor on the wall.

How do I fix a controlled shed that is not performing?

Usually by re-commissioning it: checking ventilation capacity and inlets, correcting sensor placement and set-points, and verifying air speed and static pressure at bird level with birds in. Most under-performing sheds were built to spec but never tuned.
